As everyone knows we are in the process of constructing a brand new Fema building that will connect our gymnasium to our high school. During the construction process there will be some inconveniences for our athletic schedules. We are going to attempt to host our junior high basketball games starting with the home game on Monday September 12th vs. Golden City. Please look at the following procedures for parking, admission, concessions, and bathrooms:
· Spectators will enter the gymnasium through the doors on the back (north) side of the gym.
· Due to construction and the inconveniences of normal game-day routines and procedures, we will not charge admission to junior high basketball games.
· There is limited parking north of the Ag building, but there will be NO Parking inside the gate during basketball and softball contests except for coaches, officials, and game workers only.
· There will be a graveled walkway running north and south between the gym and the AG building for anyone who parks in the main parking lot. Signs will be placed to direct spectators.
· All concessions and bathrooms will be located in the softball field concession stand north of the gym. Bathrooms will not be available in the fieldhouse for players or spectators.
We appreciate your flexibility and patience as we work through this construction process. At this time, we are going to host the junior high basketball games and evaluate logistics for the upcoming high school season. We are making back up plans to possibly play games at other venues if we are unable to host at Walnut Grove. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
