Today in Biology, students in Mrs. Potter's class did a lab simulation to understand the importance of enzymes. The purpose was to investigate the effect of three different factors on the rate of a chemical reaction (picking pennies up off the floor). They got baseline data, data with a “denatured” enzyme, data with a coenzyme, and data with an enzyme inhibitor. Tomorrow, they will analyze our data and make conclusions.
